Simple DNS truly pays for itself. The synthesized DNS records feature makes
me over $100.00 a month from DomainSponsor by redirecting abandoned & unused
domains that have been pointed to us, but are not actually used as a

What can I say but, "Wow!"?
I am not a computer expert, but can generally make them do what I want. I
looked over SimpleDNS for several days before downloading and trying the
product. What sold me was the very complete documentation that was
available online. The manual is written very well and in clear terms.
I have now purchased the license for one server and will purchase the second
when I get further along with the project and have a second DNS server in
the system.

I first discovered SimpleDNS while researching software for tools my first
book on Internet Technologies (The iNet Certification Study guide). I
needed software that was not only easy to use, yet delivered what it
promised. Having worked in the Unix/Linux world for quite awhile, I
expected to find lots of DNS offerings for Windows, but was amazed at how
few there actually were. Not only were the choices limited, but the
quality was pitiful!
Then I put SimpleDNS though the testing ringer! Not only did SimpleDNS
deliver what it promised, but it offered more features than the Linux
product I had been using for years! It wasn't long before I converted my
own DNS server from Bind on Red-hat to SimpleDNS on Windows 2000 Pro.
That was 6 years ago (1999) and to this day, I still rely on SimpleDNS as
my primary name server.
Even with high-speed connections, my customer's need the most efficient
Internet access possible. By placing the DNS server on their local, we
achieve an overall performance gain of about 27% (based on a single T1
line (1.5MBPs) and 150 PCs). This is a significant savings in bandwidth
and the performance is noticeable. My customers, most of whom do not have
I.T. staff, have become their own primary name server so DNS changes not
only happen right away, but thanks to SimpleDNS can be done by a
non-technical staff person with minimal training.
When it comes to Windows based DNS services, I have never found anything
to be as fast, feature-rich, and easy to use as SimpleDNS. Keep up the

Being a mid-sized company, we do not have the technical resources to know
every aspect of specific systems such as DNS.
After researching for an easy to administer solution, JH Software's Simple

We've been a SimpleDNS customer for quite awhile and I can tell you there
isn't a better DNS Solution on the market with as clean and stable an
installation as SimpleDNS. We migrated out of a huge datacenter's custom
linux DNS solution with a sigh of relief and have even performed a
migration of several hundred domains since then with Simple DNS and it
could not have been easier. We migrated a user with over 50 domains on
their web server to a new web server and the DNS migration took literally
less than 15 seconds to update all the appropriate records and quickly
thereafter our secondary was singing the same tune from across the
country!
Using the http and api's couldn't be simpler either. If you need
to host your own DNS, look no further.
Might I also add, we've been using
SimpleFailover for several clients with the same, "SimpleSuccess"!

Awesome, We've used it for years, it's a great product - simple, EZ to

Simple DNS Plus is easy and quick to set up, comprehensive in its help
files, extremely secure, and works well even under extremely heavy loads.
I've thrown 100 new connections per second at it over an extended period
of time, and it ran beautifully. And you don't need a high-end server to
run it successfully... for over two years, we ran if on an old 700 MHz AMD
Athlon just fine. We're now running it on a 2.4 GHz P4.
And, unlike certain other software providers, the author of Simple DNS Plus
is quick to respond with help in answering your questions... he doesn't
just sell you the software then leave you hanging.

We have used MS DNS services under NT4 and 2000 Server and BIND under RH
Linux, and frankly Simple DNS Plus is much easier to administer, and is much
more reliable and resistant to hacks than BIND or MS DNS Services. This

Simple DNS Plus is the best solution you can find for DNS management. It's not
just the fact that it works with ZERO ERRORS. Is the wonderful fact that
you can setup domains in SECONDS, you make changes in SECONDS, you can

We ran a widely known DNS program ported to NT4.0 for five years. It carries
a lot of overhead and does not have the features of Simple DNS Plus. Over
the last four months, the service would randomly quit running. If we were
lucky, the service could be started again remotely with a net start
command. If not, off to the office to manually reset the service...
usually in the middle of the night. Interestingly, when the service went
down on the primary, it would usually take the service on the secondary
with it. We ran across Simple DNS Plus on the Google search engine and
decided to try it. Absolutely one of the best choices we've made so far.
Although it's only been running for a few weeks, it's been great. Easy to
install, easy to configure...and, features that other DNS programs don't
have.

We stumbled across Simple DNS Plus by a mere coincident.
As it happened, we were about to change DNS-strategy for our ISP
operations.
After a few tests, we realized the potential benefits and the simplicity
Simple DNS Plus could bring us – especially since Windows was already
our primary operating system.
For many ISPs, DNS is a necessary evil, which often means that one resorts
to arduous solutions based on Linux/Unix systems.
So we are very happy with the much more convenient way Simple DNS Plus

This is best DNS server product for NT we have ever used! We are now replacing
many of our MS DNS server installations with this product instead of

I am the owner/Systems Administrator for an ISP in Lancaster/Logan Ohio. I

My experience with Simple DNS has been nothing but smooth. Why deal with
cryptic DNS tables when I can have a GUI do the same job for me. Before
Simple DNS I used another GUI DNS program. This DNS program had many flaws
in it, especially when I wanted to reload the DNS files after making
simple updates. As for Simple DNS I am happy to see the update for use as
an NT Service. For now I can only say that Simple DNS is a very well
structured program which is simple to use and maneuver through. Thanks for

Your product is the best kept secret on the web. Even though I have an
intermediate understanding of DNS, your product really simplified the
whole process. The default settings ability in zone creation is an amazing
time-saver. When you compare your product to other DNS management systems
like DNS Boss, etc. it's an amazing deal! In fact, I almost didn't
consider it because you seem to aim it toward cable modem and ADSL users
and I wasn't sure about using it on my production systems. I have it
running on two nameservers for my 12,000+ hit-per-day web site, and
resolving about 25 different domains. And I would swear that Simple DNS is
significantly faster then NT's own DNS server (and hopefully more
reliable). Great work - you can expect to see my 2 license registration in
the next few days.
